Hythe Synchro Aquafun Success
There was a tremendous response to Hythe Synchro's invitation for young swimmers to attend their free taster session at Hythe pool on the 1st March. Participating swimmers were then invited to sign up for the 9 week Aquafun course and demand was so high that Head Coach, Natalie Goodson, made the unprecedented decision to run 2 courses back-to-back.

Impressed with Hythe's work to promote the sport, Kent Swimming Development Officer Emily Vigors visited the club during a training session and subsequently secured much needed funding to enable the Synchro Section of Hythe Aqua to pursue its development aims.

The Aquafun courses are now under way with 24 new swimmers taking part, who are all enjoying the challenge of learning the new and very different skills that Synchro has to offer. The course has been designed to provide an introduction to the basic skills of Synchro, within a fun environment and is ideal for those children who want to try something different in the water. The ultimate aim is to attract younger swimmers into the minority sport of Synchro and increase participation in this demanding but enjoyable aquatic discipline.
