Hythe Aqua masters made a splash when they convincingly won the Annual East Invicta Masters championships held at Kings School in Canterbury recently. Hythe fielded a strong 30 person team against the 8 other participating East Kent clubs.

Hythe won a total of 52 gold medals, with top female points scorer being Donna Wickens,  sweeping the floor with a highly commendable 6 gold medals scoring a massive 18 points for Hythe Aqua + more points in the relay competitions.

A special mention also goes to Trish Ellis, Anthony Newton, Duncan Cavanagh, Helen Oakes, Anja Bossenkamp & Christine Fox, who made their fist competitive performances for Hythe Masters in fine style.

Tim Wiseman, Hythe Aqua’s Head Coach commented “These excellent results stand Hythe Aqua Master’s in good stead as they go in to compete in the Kent Swimming championships in June, where last year they narrowly missed out on being crowned County champions by just a few  points.”
