Hythe Aqua recently held its Sea Swim Championships off the beach behind Hythe Pool. Despite a rough sea and poor weather conditions there were lots of entries and many spectators on the promenade to watch the races. The races were well contested, with many races being decided on the last few strokes before the beach finish. The club is grateful to Peter Post and David Haigh and their canoe club for providing safety cover.  Trophies and medals will be presented to the first three places in each age group at the Club Awards night in November.
