A packed esplanade at Hythe watched as over 20 Hythe Aqua swimmers and supporters took part in the annual Boxing Day Dip that takes place on the beach behind Hythe Pool at noon.  This year the Hythe Aqua swimmers were joined by members of Aldington Fire Station.

The sea was reasonably calm but there was a biting cold wind and so few of the brave swimmers stayed very long in the sea.

As in previous years a  collection was made for the Air Ambulance and a good sum was raised for the charity from the spectators present.
