Development Sprint Gala - 7th February 2010
The team once again swam excellently recording a number of first places and with an
enormous number of swimmers recording new personal best times - 37 from 68 starts
in total, 54% PB rate. Ten swimmers received swimming tickets, although this means
that they have exceeded the entry time for the event and score no points, it is really
excellent news as they have progressed to a higher level of swimming.
Therefore from the coaches point of view, the more speeding tickets the better!!!!
Development Galas are an opportunity to race in a competitive environment and update your times. It is nice if the team does well but it is far more important to update your swim times and practice competition for the main events such as Kent Junior League
and National Arena League.
